DD-DT

Description of the project

The project will develop a Data-Driven Digital Twin (DD-DT) that will make it possible to eliminate the possible technical restrictions of the distribution network imposed on the enabling elements of the energy transition (renewable energies, electric vehicles, etc.).

iGrid T&D (company) and CITCEA-UPC (Tecnio Center) will collaborate to develop the DD-DT concept, which will be based on combining the capabilities and experience of iGrid in the field of communication systems and data management within the electrical networks and the capabilities of the CITCEA-UPC in the field of analysis of distribution networks.

To complete a first version of the DD-DT, the possible practical cases where the system could contribute will be studied, its basic architecture and operation will be defined, developing 5 different groups of tools aimed at the monitoring, analysis and operation of distribution networks Likewise, a first version of the DD-DT system will be implemented to be validated on a Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) platform.
